New motto We go where the money is

Is anyone aware of all the good things that AAFES does? Although the general perception is AAFES screws its customers, many of times its the other way around. AAFES takes back merchandise other retailers would laugh at. They write off millions of dollars annually on customer returns due to customer incompetence. They go around the world and bring a little piece of home to soldiers in some of the most horrible conditions. It is a shame people do not see the true value of the benefit AAFES offers. You think AAFES makes all this money? Dream on. The organization is in financial crisis because its customers beat the hell out of them and they bend over backwards to cater to the cusotmer. Most of you know the game...and have taken advantage of it. But thank god its a free country...and despite the fact many believe AAFES does not do what it is intended to do, look around your bases...you would have no gyms, no bowling alleys, no recreation etc. AAFES funds went to support that....that's the mission. Support the troops.

I love the name of your site. It's my opinion exactly. I have a formal awards banquet to attend and order service stripes for my dress blues. After waiting 4 weeks I called them and was told they are held up at the manufacturer. Nothing like keeping people informed! I was also told that it would take 3 days to cancel the order and god knows how long to get the money returned to my credit card. I would never order another thing from these people. They were totally indifferent when I complained. So much for customer service. I made sure all my soldiers know not to order from them either. Maybe they'll get the message if we all stick together.

While shopping with AAFES over the years, I really dont understand how they stay in business with all the unsatisfied customers. If you have a problem with the merchandise pricing at the NM store the manager there just shrugs their shoulders and makes you feel as if you should have wasted your gas and should have driven to Wal-mart and spent the extra on gas and taxes. Why is this benefit that I should recieve not allowing me to shop happy? I end up allot of times having to ask for the price of merchandise because allot of the items are not priced. If it bothers you that much, then put a price on each item and shelf.

Who hires these employess (managers)? Do they not check their passed history to see how they have accomplished other jobs. It's a shame when our spouses are deployed and go thru so much to protect our country and have to endure so many problems with the bx and their problems.

Working with AAFES has been an overall experience to see how incompetent the managers are that run these stores. They are two-faced and only look out for themselves and have no concerns in their employees. I have been employeed with them for 8 years now, and seriously looking for other employment. In the area where I live jobs are hard to come by so thats my biggest problem in re-locating to new employment. I have witnessed sneaky, coniving, and many forms of sexual harrassament in many forms. Made many complaints to higher ups, and nothing has yet been done but a slap on the hand. What is this world made of today?

Congratulations on your work of art as I'm sure you feel quite proud of the atrocity. Why is it an atrocity? First of all, it looks like the work of a pre-adolescent child with way too much time on hisher hands. But, you can still redeem yourself by adding more prominent reasons as to why Aafes "sucks" with more detail. Almost anyone can make a website and spill their rantings online, but oh my, please just make this one a bit more interesting! ...looking forward to an update, that's if you're creative and intelligent enough to do it.
